This report summarizes essential 2024 European race car import requirements, recent Ferrari celebration events in Florida, and important motorsport trade shows, including the Ferrari F80 debut.
Racers planning to compete in Europe this year should be aware of updated import regulations. An ATA Carnet is now required to temporarily bring your car into the EU. This applies to non-UK registered race cars, as well as UK registered vehicles and race cars transported by commercial operators or race teams. CARS has partnered with the Chamber of Commerce to offer ATA Carnets at a discounted rate.
Several key events marked the start of the season. From January 23–26, the 34th edition of a benchmark Florida concours showcased the ex-Scuderia 206 S (chassis 026) and the 1954 375 MM Ghia Coupé (chassis 0476), with competition honors and a glamorous party at The Breakers. The newly launched Ferrari F80 made its North American debut at this event.
Earlier, between January 9–12, an extravaganza celebrated the 75th anniversary of Formula 1 alongside a busy roster of well-known attendees and notable cars. This combined a two-day trade show and a two-day public exhibition, including a new dedicated engineering hall for 2025. The live action area remained a highlight for fans seeking excitement.
